During the banquet, Eris appeared unexpectedly, bearing a golden apple inscribed with the words "For the Fairest." With a mischievous grin, she tossed the apple into the midst of the gathering and vanished into the shadows. Chaos erupted as Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena each laid claim to the coveted prize, each believing herself to be the fairest goddess.
