A collection of Hans Christian Andersen's classic tales — including "The Snow Queen," "The Little Match Girl," "The Ugly Duckling," and "The Emperor's New Clothes" — in the translation by Mrs. E. V. Lucas and Mrs. H. B. Paull. Illustrated throughout with full-color plates and black-and-white drawings by Arthur Szyk, the Polish-Jewish artist known for his jewel-like, illumination-style work.
