Handmade Hair Slide

Forged by hand from a single length of iron, this hair slide is shaped hot, curved, and coiled at the ends into spirals that hold the blue-black bloom left behind by the fire. The matching pin slips through the loops to gather and hold — a low bun, a half-up twist, thick hair or fine.

Because each piece is worked individually at the anvil, no two are identical. Small variations in the curve, the hammer marks, and the color of the patina are the record of the making.

Hand-forged iron. Hand wash and dry; a little oil now and then will keep the finish.
