Myth & The Shadow Course

Myths are more than just ancient stories; they are mirrors reflecting the experiences and struggles of the human experience. These tales passed down through generations, are thick with wisdom that can help us navigate the shadowy corners of our psyche. 

Myths are filled with symbols and archetypes that resonate with the deepest parts of our collective unconscious. Carl Jung introduced the concept of archetypes, which are universal symbols representing fundamental human experiences and emotions. By engaging with these archetypes, we can uncover parts of ourselves that we might otherwise overlook or deny.

This course makes the process of confronting our shadow more approachable by weaving in the power of mythology. Over two days, we’ll explore how ancient myths shine a light on our shadow selves, giving you stories and archetypes to help make sense of the process.

Through storytelling and reflection, we’ll link these myths to your own experiences, showing how the journeys of gods and heroes mirror your inner struggles and strengths. By the end of the course, you’ll not only have a deeper understanding of your shadow but also a clearer path for integrating it into your life.

Course Syllabus:

Day 1: Persephone, Prometheus, & Psyche: Exploring Love, Fear & Desire 
Day 2: The Phoenix, Icarus & the Minotaur: Exploring Transformation, Humility the our own Labyrinth.

This course is presented via Zoom; each session is 90 minutes long. Recordings will be provided.

This course is led by Tamed Wild Creatrix Shelby Bundy of @themoonincarolina. Shelby is a Certified Jungian Life Coach through Creative Mind Method. Her astrology studies include courses at The Astrology University, Horoscope Writing & the Art of Chart Interpretation with Rebecca Gordon and Archetypal Astrology at Pacifica University. Shelby earned an Advanced Training Certificate in Applied Mythology at Pacifica University and a Bachelor of Anthropology at SNHU.
